Beginner Mahjong Series at The Country Club of Terre Haute

Ready to learn American Mahjong? Mahj in Bloom is coming to The Country Club of Terre Haute for a private two-part beginner series created exclusively for club members and their guests.

Over two relaxed, hands-on afternoons, we’ll take you from “What the heck do these tiles mean?” to confidently playing a complete game. No previous experience is needed, and all game materials will be provided.

You’ll learn:

• What the tiles mean and how to build the wall (game setup)

• How to read the official National Mah Jongg League card

• The Charleston and the flow of the game

• Basic strategy for choosing and building a hand

• Tips and tricks to help you play confidently with friends

Your registration includes:

• Two afternoons of guided instruction

• All tiles and game materials

• A Mahj in Bloom learner card and field guide

• A fun, supportive learning experience with other new players

• Online practice tools

Cost: $100 per person for both sessions
Optional add-on: National Mah Jongg League card, $15

This is a two-part series, and registration includes both November 8 and November 22. Single-session registration is not available.
